Our Campaigns
Bromley Humanists campaign for a society rooted in rationality, kindness, and human rights, concentrating on issues where non-religious viewpoints are underrepresented. We believe that human beings alone are responsible for improving the world, as we do not believe in divine interventions. We are guided by the principle that every person has equal dignity and should be free to live in accordance with their own values, provided they do not harm others.
Below, you will find more details about the issues we campaign for through various means.
Assisted Dying
Assisted dying refers to a practice in which a person with a terminal illness or incurable, intolerable suffering receives medical help to end their own life. This usually involves a doctor prescribing a lethal dose of medication, which the patient administers themselves. The topic of assisted dying raises complex ethical questions, deeply held personal beliefs, and major legislative changes across the UK.
